2018-19 Coconut Cup Season Finale
The 2018-19 Coconut Cup Championship series has come to a close. The series beginning back in September of 2018, consisted of 7 races held throughout South Florida. A total of five Speedlab Athletes competed in the entire series and all five athletes finished in the top 5 of their class.
The Coconut Cup season finale was held at Oleta River State Park this past Sunday March 31, 2019. Going into the final race, all the athletes were sitting in a good position for the overall standings – though on this very rooty trail system with a long 9.2 race lap, anything can happen. The goal for all the athletes was to put in solid, strong efforts to secure the best standing possible for the overall. Each and every athlete did a phenomenal job and in the end Speedlab came away with three overall championship titles, one 2nd place and one 4th place overall! To top it all off, it was the first year or racing for four of these athletes.
