Born in São Paulo, Mati, started her career in competitive sports through adventure races and mountain biking. From 2001 to 2009 she participated in national and international competitions, as part of FAAP Aventura and Atenah teams.
In 2015, after a hiatus in the competitions to work, Mati returned to her passion for sports through road cycling. At the end of 2016, she had her official return to competitions, through the professional cycling team Lulufive. In 2018, after a year of great achievements, Mati was invited by Pro Tour team – Cylance Pro Cycling – to join them for a season in Europe.
Mati ended 2018 with a comeback to her origins, accepting a friend’s invitation to race Brazil Ride in a feminine duo. She will be racing for PFN SpeedLab in 2019 and is excited to be back competing on the dirt.
